Hi, gotta retype this because my computer got stupid the first time

I have learned quite a good bit about turbo theory but still have some questions. All of the formulas I've seen so far have been for compressors, what about the exhaust side? I feel like I am missing something but I don't know what.

My other question is, since I have a b18b turbo manifolds are pretty popular, but most say they fit the t3 flange, is that the same as the mitsubishi, saab, or volvo turbos? I'm shopping for a junkyard turbo, so I'll need to know.

Mistu turbos don't only come on mistus, and no they aren't same flange.

OLD volvo = garrett
new volvo = mistu
wrx = mistu
SVO mustang = garrett
dodge = 50/50 mistu/garrett
buick = garrett
There is a list floating around on this forum, but the search funtion sucks so bad, its prob. impossible to find it.

 

How many different types of flanges are there? The last thing I'd want to do is spend hours finding and pulling a turbo just to find that I'll have to get a custom header made.
