. Pics dont work now that im tryin to do this. found out theres adjustable upper waste gate spring perch and threaded allen screw from the earlier 84-85 5000 Turbo, our quattro, or the later 20V Turbo 3B or AAN engines and reduce the spring tension from the 1.8 bar spring

Well lets see i took off my hat off of my audi wastegate and used a punch and popped the cap off.
then used a longer m12 bolt and threw away the 10 mm alen hex bolt
then i used the inner hat that the 10mm hex nut sat on and double nutted it, 4 psi stock to whatever i want now.
and the 4 psi springs came on the adui 5000 sc, these are vaccumed silinoid controled.
the gaskets i can get for 28.00, but the funny thing is if you cut the spring u just bought u a $800 wastegate (that is at my price through my vw dealer i work at)

good luck

You should feel honor cause that is the last audi wg I pulled for anyone including myself. Those things are nighmares to get off. Good to see it's getting some good use out of it. Holy ---- Threshold 800 bones for that thing? I guess there's a reason I never buy things from the dealership and never will.
