Default MODIFY STOCK MANIFOLD F/TURBO...

Hey guys, I found some pics of cutting the stock manifold and welding on a flange for your turbo. What do you think? Good, bad, too much time/money? This would be better for ppl who can't find hf's anywhere (Canada).

heh, thats funny, I think I saw that baby on ebay. Ya it can work, but welding steel to cast can be difficult, and I recommend having a professional doing it. I dont know how well clearences are with that? I would also use a thickier plate than the one shown. But basically YES it will work

Yeah, I saw it on ebay like last year. I saved the pics and was goin' through my saved files and found it again.

In canada, try to get a manifold of civic VX 92. IT's the same of the crx/civic HF.

88-91 CX's have HF manifolds.. in canada

that manifold will set the turbo too low for it to drian oil back to the oil pan

Actually it really depends on how you clock the center section of the turbo, I can tell just by looking at that manifold, that it should be ok for an oil return.

Isn't welding steel to cast iron bad? I thoght that it will crack with high heat .

In Canada, look for Civic STD's.. They came stock with a four speed, and were slow as dirt, i've found three or four of them kicking around over the last few years...
