Mix cams: Which side to put the more aggresive one on, intake/exhaust
16v 1.6l 4age 8:9:1 compression, smallport head, 14b turbo @ 18psi
hks 256 8.3mm lift, 264 8.3mm lift
What can i expect if i put the more aggressive cam on the intake or exhaust and vice versa. Last year i was using the 256 on the intake with a largeport head to help it spool by increasing air velocity. This year tho, i have a smallport head which should spool that little nancy turbo way faster. thoughts?

I'd put the meatier cam on the intake, especially in the case of a turbo motor, to give more cylinder pressure and ----. I don't really know how to explain the theory behind it.
