Minnesotan Turbo Rebuilders

Re: Minnesotan Turbo Rebuilders
ill make this easy for you. Pour some oil into the oil feed hole in the top of the turbo in the centersection. Turn the shaft by the compressor side, if there is any in out shaft play, the turbo is bad, a little side to side play is normal as long as the compressor wheel fins dont scrape the compressor housing. I can guarantee that youll pay much more to send it to somebody and have them rebuild it than you paid for it(most people charge $200-$400 for a rebuild) and the parts alone are around $100. Youre probably fine to rock it as is.

For what you'd spend on having someone else re-build it you could get a better turbo. re-build kits are usually under 100 and not to diffucult to do yourself provided you have the snap ring pliers.
