Default Mini me turbos.

How many of you guys have done a mini me on boost that is successful and lasted? I was thinking about throwing a y8 head on my y7 and boosting. How much boost could I take? Btw. This would be using a water injection setup.

I've had a few mini-me turbos, only one had a problem, and thats because I was running 10psi with No IC, I popped a head gasket.

Timing and fuel management are very important due to the high compression of the mini-me.

...i gotta 91 a6 block that I'm looking to put a z6(have two)head on it as well as a 14b turbo. BUT my block has 226,000 miles on it, how should I go about strengthenin' my block, seein' as how it's so worn? I was thinkin' some manley or crower rods and some arp rod bolts and head studs, and a Greddy 2mm headgasket...will this help much?? BTW, for the future, what would be a good compression ratio to go with as far as pistons are concerned?? and does anyone have any preferences are far as brand or dome/dish?? help me pleaaaase.....peace

A nice rebuild would do your engine some good.
I would just get eagle rod's man...they are cheaper and they do there job...how much power are you expecting anywaysI don't think you'll exceed 400hp. If you gonna use the stock pistons in the mean time...get new rings and at least do aquick hone job for good sealing..that will get your compression up to normal.for in the future pistons...well it depends what you want....Depends on your enginemanagement... the cheaper the engine management the lower the compression .

sooooo, you're saying if I have cheap engine management, I need to go LOWER comp. for the engine's sake, right? I'm gonna run 450's with a V-afc, so I'd probaly be able to get by with 9:5:1 or possibly 10:1, right thanks for the info man....you run a turbo'd mini-me?? peaaace
