so i have two small intercoolers one is a 1g dsm and i dont know what the other is but i am only running 8psi when i boost my zc. so the questions is would runnng dual side mounts help or just fuckit and only run one becuase there is no point in two with such little amounts of boost

 

 

Just use one sidemount. Its been done before, and as you said - 8psi on most turbos isn't enough to overwhelm a single sidemount. Most DSM's run 10-15psi stock, and that's on a smallish sidemount intercooler. Also, that second SMIC won't do much besides create a pressure drop, unless the 1st SMIC has no airflow (in which case, the 1st should be removed).

 

Keep it simple, I think you are safe with the one until you start upping the boost..

 

If you wanna up the boost, and it wouldn't be too much of a PITA to install the 2nd, go for it. Otherwise for low boost just use the 1g DSM

 

yeah thats what i was thinking. that the second would make the setup shittier until more boost arrives. i saw a kit for the eclipse to use the second intercooler instead of a big *** front mount a long time ago. i guess it was for a sleeper look
