Good matchup. I didn't personally build one for myself, just put one together for a friend. Had his boss tune it with Uber on stock map sensor at 10psi, and I'd say it was pretty damn close to that 250 if not more. He started hitting the threshold right around 3800 rpm.

Sweet! Because that's what I"m going to be running like i've mentioned. I want to see if I can get 260-275whp out of my stock LS. Thinking about tuning up to 15-16psi. For the weekends/track, and 10psi daily.

I have to run 10psi regardless. Guy that sold me the tial wastegate forgot to put the 6psi spring back in, and left the 10psi spring in. Hey gives me an excuse, plus 6psi wouldn't do much at all on that turbo. I need power dammi..............Power, Power! lol

If you got to 16 psi, you can do 25 on your own. You'll need dyno time, both for ease and confidence. Either she makes more power as you advance the timing, or you need to take some out. It's a pretty easy feedback system. There are a few pointers for finessing more power out after you get that far, but nothing critical to safety... except for reading your plugs and setting individual cylinder fuel trims.

Cool beans. There are a lot of knowledgible guys out there, but I like making people paranoid so they don't make the decision lightly. Hopefully they research and learn a little about tuning themselves, even if they don't want the hassle and frustration of tuning they are better able to identify who knows their ---- and who doesn't.

I have. Boost by 2500, 10+ psi by 3200, you'll probably need 11-14 psi depending on the efficiency of your setup to get 250 whp out of one, so pick up a 2.5 bar. The OEM T3 turbine wheels are a bit small, so they start to choke things around 250 whp, which bottles up heat. Go a little conservative on timing and rich on AFR (11.2-11.5 AFRs) and it'll last a good while.

I was a closet LS hater. Then I rode in one that made decent power, AND a ---- ton more ***-dyno verified TQ through the mid range than my GSR.

If I had a LS Id keep adding boost until it made around 260-270 peak TQ, make sure it didnt ping or have cooling problems, and then rock the ---- out of it daily.

Street tuned by ^Leed^
We just turned it up to 18lbs, gotta get to the dyno to see where I'm at now.
