Massive Dyno Dissapointment. Help me figure out the problem.

Re: Massive Dyno Dissapointment. Help me figure out the problem.
Hey guys,
Thanks for all your responses. I appreciate it.
To answer some questions:
The final result was 240whp at 13lbs of boost. He was saying that as he was increasing boost, the car wouldn't make more power. I think the horsepower figure was increasing a bit but torque was dropping steadily. I do believe after 6000rpm the whole power curve would taper off as well.
He never gave us a dyno sheet because he was using a different style dyno. Not sure what it was called, but it would not plot a graph, everything was numerical. According to him its better then the ones that plot the graph, which might just be bullshit on his part, I dont know. But it was a 4wd dyno as well which he uses to tune rally cars.
He was also saying that the camshaft is not optimal, and he doesn't like to tune with it, which sounds shady. I have seen plenty folks retain their OEM camshafts. I understand the Type R is fairly agressive but once again, not a 160whp hinderance.
As for losing boost, I dont think we are. If I had a boost leak would I not see a difference between what the boost has been set at via the boost controller, and the actual reading on the boost gauge?
I am pretty dissapointed because I am a knowledgable guy when it comes to turbo, and I double and triple checked the components of this setup to ensure I reach my goal. I went to the tuner whom I thought was best, and he starts giving me bullshit on how my turbo might be too small (wtf, its a 550hp turbo!), etc. And then when we end up with virtually half the expected power after 6 hours of tuning. Either I am going insane and I can no longer read a basic compressor map, or he is not as great as everyone in Canada says he is.
Thanks for all your help guys!
