Map sensor
Hey guys, I'm gonna be installing a kit that is off of an older civic hatch, I think it's an 88 or 89 and putting it onto a 95 civic si (ex in the states). Both are D series engines and both are 1.6 L SOHC. The guy tells me that the manifold should be interchangable but I've heard that it was different. Can someone help me out with this? Also, the map sensor is on the throttle body and I won't be using a missing link but I will be using check valves. How do I go abouts plugging up the sensor on the throttle body and plug in these check valves? Pics would be awsome! finally, piping. I know that the piping will be a bit off, but will it line up? I'm mostly refering to the downpipe. will it be centered or will it be off to one side? thanks for all the help guys.

everything should be all good, except the check valves. i dont think you can use the check valves with your map sensor its mounted to the t-body and has no vacuum hose going to it, and thats where you normally put the check valves...

You can use check valves on the map sensor with the t-body. You take a T and put it in the hole were the map sensor was. Then you take a check valve and put it on the horizontal part the the T. After that the a piece of vaccum line and run it from the T to the map sensor. The number of check valves depends on how much boost you are running anywhere from 1-4 check valves.

the DP/Charge pipes should work, with very minior modifactions.

thanks guys, so you think the charge piping should match up? here's a pic. I'm just wondering if the cold side charge piping will hit the wheel well or the battery. I know that the compressor is gonna have to be rotated and I'll have to run it from the bottom but I'm wondering about everything else. Does it look like this kit will be able to be placed onto a 95 civic coupe?

I'm trying to fit a charge pipe off of an 89 civic hatch into a 95 civic couple. Here's some pics for you guys. The yellow is the 89 and if any one can tell me if it will fit into the 95, that would be great! thanks.
