I have a 90 civic. I am running a sohc zc, it checks to be a d16z1. i ported the head and used a jdm z6 mpi. I want to turbo it and my question is, does anyone have any ideas of what manifold and turbo combination can be used and still keep my ac? I live in s.w. okla. and it can get brutal hot here. Also, i would like some idea of posible hp gains using this motor and pushing 6-8 psi. My idea for the turbo combo was a t3 turbo intercooled, safc hack, 450 injectors,and some form of timing control.

your best bet is to buy a ssauto crap or a greddy or drag or rev hard manifold but its going to cost you .... no std or hf manifold will clear a/c unless you make a crazy adaptor with alot of trial and error but it has been done

Or you can do Like I did and build a Log. It may not flow awesome but it fits good.

absolutely no ssautocrap, to much neg reports. thought about the greddy, liked the way it was flanged offset to the pasenger side...... another question? any ideas on an intercooler? man it is tight up front! i like the look of the ones that extend all the way across the grill opening, but by keeping the ac it leaves little room on the drivers side to run the lines through. it wouldn't be impossible, just a pain in the butt.

www.lovefab.com makes a manifold that will clear the ac stuff.. shoots the turbo off towards the passenger side... rally nice looking, if you got some dough to spend. my other thought, was to some how cap off the bottom of the STD manifold, and figure out how to mount your turbo on top but cutting/welding... would be pretty cool(but maybe impractical)
