Default manifold modification question

I was wondering if I could weld an external wastegate flange to my current turbo manifold.
Could I just drill-press a hole, grind off the oxidation and have the flange welded?

youd probably have to use a hole saw as it may be hard to find a chuck large enough to fit a drill bit that size. What do you mean by oxidation? Surface rust? If the manifold is cast it will be really hard to dril through it. Good luck

yeah, I was going to use a hole-saw to make the cut. And then use a hand held grinder with a wire wheel to clean off the surface rust. Would having the manifold sandblasted be better than wire wheeling it?

dam ninja youve got the sickest dam quote ive ever read. :P

you should have no problem welding a wastegate flange onto your manifold.
