ok so this is prolly a stupid question but im havin trouble gettin this td05 off the volvo manifold. its a star bolt and im sure its a 12 cuz they were comin off now there just strippin. what can i do besides choppin em off.

does it need a 12 point socket? Sounds like the same kinda bold from a clutch. I got lucky and found someone with a 12 point socket set. A picture would tell us more

do as turbocivic17m says.
i've taken several turbos from volvos and they all use that type of bolt. and usually there are bolt clips you have to pry off first. anyway, vicegrips and a hammer. works everytime. you're not going to use the bolts anyway. if they break, the turbo can still come off.
