Mani to Turbo Gasket...
So my home made Mr. Gasket gasket for between the mani and turbo just didn't quite get the job done. Okay, boosted yesterday and today I drove to work and was driving home and my car got annoyingly loud. I thought, "Great 2nd day and the exhaust is either blown out my muffler/cat or the valves are ticking." Luckily, I get back pop the hood to see that the front half of the gasket.......isn't there. So now where everyone chimes in.
*Cliff Notes* What gasket do you use between the manifold and the turbo?

If you insist on using a gasket, you need something metal based, or at least with a metal ring in the gasket.

There both really flat. The turbo was machined and the other is David's manifold he made so I assume it's flat. I'd like to run a gasket though. That stuff I think was too thick. It WAS thicker, then got hot shrunk up and harden. Now it's not existent. LOL.

Re: Mani to Turbo Gasket...
if its a T3 turbo/flange you can buy a turbo gasket kit for a thunderbird from autozone for $5 and it has a nice metal gasket in there, but I personally dont use gaskets on my turbo at all and it works perfect.
