Hey is mandrel bent pipings heavy?

 

well you cant get past the fact that if its made of steel it will be as heavy as steel :P its not a considerable amount of weight, like 10lbs maybe. aluminum will be a lot lighter, but more expensive and you will pay lots more to have it welded (its pretty tricky to weld aluminum)...

 

Does aluminum tube really weigh that much less than steel? The steel bends we got from jcwhitney are pretty light. I mean the aluminum must weigh next to nothing if its considerably lighter.
