well, considering there's full vaccuum sent to it at idle, it seems quite normal that it would be slightly open. so tell me, just how much boost are you planning on running at idle? if you know how to set them up, they can be good to over 20psi with no leaks.. i'll have to find the post on the other board about it...
i don't believe you understand what you are making fun of. he means that the bov leaks because of cheap design and manufacture.

i had an turbo xs one and it had the holes all the way around and it sounded like air leaking out, which is what a BOV is doing but it just doesnt sound like a regular BOV, i guess that sounds stupid, but anyone who has heard one of those and the 2nd gen one will know what im talking about, i still have the old one but i like the 2nd gen exlipse one alot better, i think im gonna but the greddy type s though

oh yeah and that ------- t25 on my friends eclipse pulls like a **** all the way up to 7000 rpm, he reaches full boost at like 3500rpm and it stays at 15 all the up to 6800 and then it goes to about 15.5 PSI - 16 PSI, that thing halls ***, and he doesnt even have a boost controller it just naturally went from 12PSI to 16PSI after he bought the HKS SSQV BOV, and that sun of a bitch can get to 10PSI standing still just roaring the engine, damn those dsm's damn them to hell. that car doesnt need to be under a load at all.

no boost at idle. the ---- shouldnt be open because at idle the car is under vacuum. the design is ---- and those BOV's are crap. it's not worth more than $5.

haha vroooom honk. vroom vroom HONK HONK.

i got 3 used bosch plastic bov's from these le barons i think. i heard the 2g bov's and such only leak past 10psi or so, which is usually what those dsm guys complain about. so 5-8psi should be ok. if not im getting a 1g anyways. those things are in pretty high demand..

shortyz go make me a horn loaded enclosure

alright.. here's my experience for the day... I did a nice patch job on my BOV so it had a large trumpet outlet type deal... Looked like one wicked BOV... went for a drive and it was LESS loud.. I couldn't even hear it.

ripped it off and wasted 15 mins
