I'm running a 1st gen dsm bov, and sometimes if I get off the gas slow when it's in boost, it blows the pressure off and gives a little whistle at the end simular to the greddy bov's. But the greddy's you can adjust, just wondering how you could make the dsm sound more like that? I assume that it makes that noise because while it's closing that pressure is still being released and making the whistle. Would crushing the bov do that? I've heard some talons with crushed bov's make that noise.

People crush them only when running high boost....it'll just flutter if your running lower boost. I had the same bov and I loved that whistle too so what i did was just buy a greddy type s. All I had to do was redrill holes onto my dsm flange and the greddy mounted right up.

 

i had a greddy type s. gee i loved that bov. I dunno what I'll get next. Maybe an RFL cause its cheap, or maybe another type S

 

next for me to get would be an hks ssq but for now I still love the sound of my type s
