Default LS-vtec smoking like a ****

Setup:

built LSvtec-forged guts
T3/T4 57trim
3" exhaust
RC630's

90 DA tuned with crome.

Tuned the car at 6 psi and it ran great, so my buddy went and got a 10psi spring and replaced the spring that was in his tial gate. We got the tuned sorted out after we blew a charge pipe, no biggie. Got that sorted out, finished up the tune and was about to call it a night when he decided to have a little bit of fun on the hwy and just as he hit the 6500rpm mark at 10psi, smoke filled the cabin...

We pull over on the shoulder, everything looks fine, no fluids anywhere, not overheating, but it sounds like its running on 3 cylinders.. and its pushing a decent amount of vapour through the breather hole on the v/c and its huffing smoke out the exhaust like mad, looks like a bloody mosquito cloud. The smoke didnt smell like coolant or look white. It was more so black and smelled very much of fuel, possiblly oil...? The oil level was down, but not milky at all..

Im gonna tear into it in the morning to see what it might be. I couldnt hear any audible knock or ping, mind you i dont have a set of det cans (need to really get some).

Just looking for some insight guys.

appreciate the help.

seems like that non working cylinder is loosing all it's compression to the crank case. This is causing the valve cover breather vapour and since all that lost compression is blowing up into your turbo oil return, it makes the chra overfill and forces oil out of the turbo seals, causing it to smoke out of the exhaust. if you let it idle, it will eventually leak under the turbo, at the junction between the CHRA and the turbine hsg.

Good luck fixing that cracked piston, broken ring, scratched sleeve, head gasket or who knows what else could cause such compression loss.
