hey wassup guyz one question... i got a ls motor.. n for hondata the best way to go is vtec right? man ive been reading up on hondata. its the ---- man lauching control, full throttle shift. but yeah so is ls vtec good for turbo?? just to let u know my motor is gonna be bone stock with hondata for sure.. so if u guyz can help me with this question. it would prolli help me decide..thanks.. remember its gonna be bone stock hopefully hondata....LS/VTEC TURBO? MIND BOGGLING..

 

Ls/vtec jacks up your compression. Honestly I wouldnt personally boost a hybrid. Too much ---- for me. If you really want boost on a vtec motor. I'd go with a b16. And as for an LS just boost the ---- outta it without the vtec head.

 

yea i agree....the compression is a tiny to high for a turbo on the ls\vtec.....i would turbo a b16 too.

as long u lower the compression ratio you'll be ok, i've seen a turbo ls increase 50hp by adding the head.

 

I dont know what all you guys have been smoking, but LS/Vtec's have pretty low compression, nothing crazy like B18c's or B16a's

9.5cr B18/B16a head

9.7cr B18/B18c head

---- I was boosting a Mini-me over 8psi at times with 10.6c/r

I am personally doing a LS/vtec turbo in my daily driver, pics are coming soon.

I think you should do whatever you want..

I pesonally like the output of just the ls/vtec NA and I think putting a turbo on it would be pretty nice for a street car.
