Low Oil Pressure With Turbo Feed Connected, Normal with it Caped??????
So Freaking
i get 35 COLD and 35 max whatever RPM with turbo feed Connected
With the Line Caped off and not pluged into Turbo i get 70 Cold.
Can it be b/c my turbo is shot? it has in/out and side to side shaft play now.
I had it rebuild not more than 2k miles ago. Upon recieving the turbo back i always had 35 Cold.
Stumped here! im thinking since the turbo is TOAST mabe its not working the oil Correct
additional Details. Oil feed line in Bottle to test gets the same PSI as connected to turbo.
I dont want to buy a new/used turbo to find out its my Car's Oil Pump(which i doubt since its wokring fine caped, and recently Rebuilt with new regulator/cover)

Where are you measuring the pressure, the actual line going to the turbo, the stock sensor location?
if your measuring in the oil line near the turbo the turbo is basically dumping the oil back into the pan, so perhaps you have a very free flowing return and the pressure is just very low right at the oil inlet, or are you measuring in a separate spot?

NOPE
ok so here is the Deal
i installed a sandwich plate
put my autometer sensor directly on it
then put a mech guage on the trubo feed
Car PSI=normal 70~ cold
TurbofeedPSI-~35 cold
i dont know why the turbofeed line is less pressure
my old integra always had 60cold the same way i set it up now.. with the guage t'd into the feed line

So the gauge in your plate says 70, the gauge In the line going to the turbo says 30....So your oil pressure in your motor is 70psi....
someone correct if im wrong here.....but the sensor in the feed line isnt going to be an accurate indication of engine oil pressure, i would trust the reading taken from the block.
