P.S 8000th post black dragon,

i ran a 13.4 on the SOHC heads with a tiny wrx turbo. I now have DOHC with a nice STi turbo, its going 12s.

Cool, how many pounds were you running on the wrx turbo ? Was your car in the turbo project section at one point in time ?

update time:

this is how it went. When i first started this thread i had an ej18 block with ej22 heads. replaced the headgaskets on that once. Second time I put JDM 2.0 heads on it. Felt fast as hell but I am an idiot and raced while on a base tune.....detonation took out a bearing or two. Now there is a stock ej18 engine in the car. I compression tested it the other day and it came back not so good 160-150-140-130 were the results. Either way it still pulls pretty good at 12psi. I took it to a free dyno day last week and was pretty happy with what I got. It was 91 degrees in the shop. I put down 185hp and 205tq with the td04 turbo on.

Soon I will be putting in another frankenstein. JDM ej20g block with USDM WRX topend (heads/mani/ecu/everything) with an 18g or 20g turbo.

One of my favorite hmt cars. What time did you run with the old set up, hit 12s ?

Re: The Little Red Impreza That Could Is Back.

first setup was 13.4 with a leaking headgasket

second setup never made it to the track

this POS setup ran a 14.0.....but my best 60 foot was a 2.2....when i usual pull 1.8's

its slow :(

I need to get a video up soon before it blows, because the car sounds awesome.

I'm a bit confused about the frankenstein comment. Won't that technically be a stock wrx engine with a JDM block? IIRC the USDM WRX is 2.0L as is.
