It has as much to do with the wastegate placement and manifold design as it does anything else.

I pushed my tial 40mm into the 30 psi range and made I'm guessing 450-475 with the hx40 on my talon. Never once failed and is still going strong in a buddies car 3 years later.

Small gates typically have a tough time regulating a small amount of boost, with a large turbo. Hence boost creep. High psi is not nearly as bad as most of the energy is being used to drive the turbo. (an Example 76mm turbo, at 10psi)

Too large of a gate and you have a tough time regulating the boost, ie boost flutter.

Fwiw, I would run the smallest gate that allows me to run with out creep, this has a lot to do with manifold design though, so on a log or a full hype, you might need a lot of gate to control the boost, where as a passenger or love fab mani, you might not. All with the same turbo setup.

Reading owns your tubby butt. LOL
No I sold that to a friend with a DSM and he isnt having any kind of issues like I was having with trying to get a base psi and hold it with out drop or the opposite creep. He's running 17psi constant. ------- sucks, but do figure its a DSM. I have a Ching Chond with Tial internals, I know because I bought their rebuild kit.
But ------- back to the subject.
So with my goal of 550whp, with this precision 6262E, With a Eville140 mani, with 3in full exhaust, with 1000cc precision injectors, WILL I OR IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I"LL MAX OUT ITS FLOWABILITY. I dont want to go out and spend the cash just yet for a 44+yet. Times are bearing down hard now on Toyota. They just announced another 11 days of shutdown. That means in the first month of Janurary I've burned up all my vacation for the whole year. Not looking good.

If the WG placement is cool, you should be fine

Got the ---- bolted up today
Had to take some material off the 6th bolt on the compressor housing, bolt is still functional, just needed some extra clearance so mani will bolt to head tightly.
Looks **** though, going to have to do some fuel adjustments for sure to beable to drive her around after the snow clears. DMC1 you game to just play with fuel? Same scenerio at before, gas and a meal paid? ---- I even have some parts that I KNOW YOU WANT for your twin cam. A little bribe! lol

How about a pic, of where the wg tube connects to the manifold. :1

The wastegate tube loops around from the collector so that it doesn't actually run off a runner. Good placement IMO and should work out just fine.

Now from there the bottom of the WG shoots towards the ground and if your the one looking in the engine bay this is what you will see, NOTE THE EXHAUST HOUSING
