lightened flywheels...who has had boosted experiences w/them?
I went back and forth from a lightened flywheel to a stocker. I've noticed a huge difference. Especially trying to chirp the tires. YOu'll notice the less rotating mass quite quickly.
If I were you I'd go to a different engine builder.

The flywheel just has to be strong enough to take the forces of sudden acceleration. People die every year when flywheels explode, mostly when people lighten stock flywheels improperly I think. There is a reason to why NHRA mandates a scattershield or a scatterproof bellhousing on 11 second cars IIRC.
i have a fidanza 6.5lb in my d15b (vtec) on 9psi. car is disgusting fast, and the clutch grabs incredibly hard. it is an aluminum flywheel and has taken a BEATING from my days. i have taken my motor to the 'H' on engine temp because my radiator fan stopped working.
one problem i have is that on hot *** days when i let the car out of gear while driving the rpms drop really quick and the car will turn off her and there. im thinking about using a stock one again. it is a bit to sensitive to south florida temps. i did make 5whp with it all motor
