Re: Leaving for GRM 2008 challenge
Well , we drove 25+ hrs and went down in a blaze of glory.... but not all is bad...
#1) The RB25 turbo took a crap the weekend before we left. The car is now sporting a T3/4 Hybrid 60 trim...
#2) Ran the autocross with NO power and still managed a 45 sec pass on shitty Avon tires , FTD was a 42.. The car has potential. keep in mind we had never driven the car before more then 2 miles...
#3) Philstubbs helped tune it with crome using ostrich and holy ---- this car is gonna be fast. We hit a very choppy 17 psi and the car fly's. Spools at 4500rpm. The vitara/ TT rod motor runs strong.
I am going to run again next year with the same mechanicals , but with a southern car. (Still an EF thou) So for now we are gonna tune the hell out of the car. The fastest import was hooligans colt which put down a 11.6. Im pretty sure a gutted EF can beat that..but it will take practice.
I think we have a bad injector. The car went from running great to an A/F ratio of 8ish that was un-tuneable ,but we could realtime mod other parameters..so I don't think it was ECU.
So right now I am lookin for injectors for the car, and a new EF that is rust free to swap the stuff over too. Most hondas we bone stock motors with small turbo's running high 12's.

DNF!!
the A/F went to 8-9 and Scott couldn't tune it out... Im thinkin injector failure..
already looking for a set of 600+ cc units for the car. The T3/4 needs something more manly then a set of 450's.
NExt year I am gonna run the t3/4 for the drags and put on a smaller t3 for the autocross. Nothing says I can't swap turbo's
