well as randysohc has posted on here about the turbo setup on the dpfi i am the one with that setup and i have everything on to make boost but i only get maybe 3psi i can hear the turbo spool really quick and there is no way it can leak from the turbo to the tb b/c im running for now with no bov and no ic ill have pics soon but i wanted to see if anyone had some suggestions! oh yea this is a hmt setup in the making!!!FTW :y

well im still tryin to get the pics up im not really good with computers but my turbo is an ihi rhb5 and the internal wastegate is factory set at 7 psi i have done a remote mount the turbo is behind the passenger side headlight everything is working properly just low to no boost i wii lhave pics soon though!thanks

do you have any exhaust leaks before the turbo. that will cause spool problems

no i have no exaust leaks at all i did in the downpipe but i welded it up the turbo spools and it sounds like it cant spool no more but im only getting 3psi at the im!

Does it have a recirculating BOV on the compressor housing?

no there is no recirculating bov i just took my charge pipe off and when you rev the car you feel air out of the pipe but keep it at a steady rev and the air tops when you rev higher you feel air again?

did you have to clock the turbo any? that might change the length in the wastegate arm thingy. i say throw a manual boost controller on, crank up the boost. if the boost goes up then back down then you got a leak!!! i got a leak too mine goes up to 10lbs then down to 7lbs.

well i didnt clock it any i even took the dpfi box off and made a pipe to connect straight to the im and still only getting 3psi right when i have to shift!

I had the same prob on my z6 turbo crx. it only put out like 2 or 3 psi and no more. people told me it could be a vac leak. I just sold the car. lol

i was using a faze boost guage but i thought it was broke so i went to an autometer and still the same i found like three maybe four small leaks between manifold and my turbo would that cause it to loose that much boost?

Manifold to turbo is leaking, so instead of buying a 12 dollar gasket and doing it right, you're gonna weld the exhaust housing to the manifold.
HMT props nigga.

well my turbo isnt on the manifold i have a remote mount it is where the battery should be but i put the battery in the trunk so i could place it there.

well i figured it would be different i mean i didnt have to buy a turbo manifold or make one or anything it was mostly just pipes and it may look difficult but im telling you this was the easiest turbo setup i have ever done and with the rhb5 i have absolutely no lag!

well i fixed my leaks and still 4 psi idk what the hell to do to this thing???????ANYONE ELSE KNOW????

just to through this out but are you trying to make boost while sitting in neutral or are you doing street runs?

In your pictures, there is no vacuum line going to your wastegate actuator :1

yes their is but you cant see it there is an elbow on my actuator and im doing street runs i really want to make this work cause noone has done it that i know of anyway!

there is a reason nobody has done it. its not a good idea. im sure it will work, but damn, why go around the block 3 times to get to your next door neighbor. im all for trying something new but im sure for the same money you could have had an easier setup that would be working right now.

what are you using for fuel manegement? that may be your problem

well i gave 35$ for the turbo and piping was free and about 50$ in odds and ends so i got less than 100$ in all of it and a turbo manifold is around 100$ alone.But anyway its on there and now im making boost its on 4 psi and i done some research and this internal wastegate is set at 4psi but thanks everyone for the help ill post some new pics soon!

I never said there was anything wrong with driving a boosted ---- pile. I'm trying to give you advice on how to get help resolving your problems. If you can't take a little criticism, then get off the computer and go cry in the corner. The reason we want more pictures is because you're doing a weird ass remote mount that looks janky as ----. If we could see how it is set up a little better, we could help you more easily. You still havent answered what management you're using on that ---- pile.

anyways,
hes a good guy,
tryin to get boosted,
he has a FMIC & a bov,
but for starters....the boost is the thing were tryin to get to,

theres a pipe going straight from his turbo to the tb,,,,no leak is possible from there,

now...a small little leak,sort of like an exhaust leak thingy...would not cause him to not spool & boost that turbo to whatever .psi with the wastegate disconnected,,,,

I have had this experience myself,
I have had larger leaks then a pinhole & small cut & have still made boost,

when I first boosted my car,
the leaks(small) that people was telling me,(that would not boost my car)

I belived them,
but after fixing my large leak,,,I found that a small leak will only cause it to not spool up & boost as quick,
but will still boost the amount your wanting to push,(especially on a stock d15 @ 4-6psi)

I have looked at his setup...
it has no leaks that would be large enough,,,,let alone,,,any leaks at all of what I could see,

also,
I dont think the ihi rhb5 nor any internal wastgate is set at 4psi,
if so.......please provide proof of website/info so I MUST see this,
only 4psi spring/wg that I know of is the one im running,
which is the XS power WG,at 3.63psi,
please correct me if im wrong,
