knocking ??

recently my car has been knocking. Could it be becuase i put 20w 50 oil in it ?? Thats the only think i can think of thats making it do it. any ideas ?

Can you go into details on the "knock" sound??

I seriously doubt it's from the oil. It's summer time, you drive a v6.. 20w50 will not hurt it.

if you cant diagnose knocking sounds drive it to a shop. have them tell you whats wrong with it. if you think you can fix it go ahead and do it now. but if you keep driving your car itl probebly just progressivly get worse.

knocking sound

check you injectors for leaks and maybe one of your rod bearing is dieing

Is it more of a clicking than a knocking? I'm thinking valves, or you left a screwdriver in the oil pan (true story of mine)

If it's rod knock, I think you'll wanna go with a new motor
