nice, i've seen a slight glow from the turbo and some of the manifold before but not bright and not the whole thing. sounds like his EGTs were a little high. whats his setup? timing?

Quite normal for the manifolds to glow a bit, they can even start glowing on unmodified N/A cars if you push them hard.

you got problems if your manifolds are glowing red hot. I would suggest improving the exhaust system (bigger, free flowing/dumping the cat).

timing? water pump?

need to fix that ---- before he ***** something up

running to lean causing exhaust temps to rise or too rich causing fuel to actually ignite inside exhaust.

My D15b2's stock manifold was glowing like that after I sprayed it to 130mph, then the engine shut off. I went to reset the ECU and saw the manifold, it was almost see though, hehe. little D15 started back up and took another 3 more bottles off nitrous, until I swapped it out for a D16Z6.

My turbo set-up doesn't do that. My freinds 2G DSM would do that with the old T-25 after about 2 hard runs ( from a cold start ).
