its not makin boost right now...i'm runnin open turbo for now...thursday i'm going to the muffler shop to get my bov thing welded on and the downpipe custom made...i'll post pics after thats done...now i'm working on my cousins 95 dx...we have the td04 for it dsm bov, down pipe and some piping...now i just need to IC...we're using styock corolla intake piping...it has a little port on it that the dsm bov fits right in...

 

are you saying your running the turbo on the car but not hooked up to the charge pipes, cuase i hope u know the turbo will overwind and seize up by doing that

 

naw all the piping is on...but i don't have a downpipe...the ic piping is on...i just don't have a bov right now...well i have a turbo xs one but its no put on yet...

 

oh ok, yea im running open downpipe, just 6 inchs on downpipw cuase i didnt want to have no downpipe after the install.

 

well i hooked everything up and i turned my boost controller up over and over till it was at like 30...and nothing...the shop told me i can't boost untill i get a downpipe put on the turbo...i dunno...first kit i've done

 

what kind of turbo/wastegate/etc are you using.

the charge pipes are solid right, no leaks, good clamps...no hole already there for the bov or anything?

downpipe or not you should be able to see positive pressure if the piping from turbo to throttle body is air tight.

 

more then likley ur wastegate flapper is wide open, that happened to me and i closed it up and instant boost baby

 

werd...**** i have the hold for the bov i just don't have the bov on it yet...so i can boost without the downpipe if i close the hole for the bov?

 

yes, a hole in your charge piping is a huge leak. you'll never see boost with that hole open.

 

ight cool...now i need to find a way to close it for 2 days...can i push the amount of boost i want with no downpipe?
