Concerning the wastegate dump tube, I was under the impression mine was not bad at all since it does merge back into the 3" downpipe at least 18" away from the turbo and the merge is at a very narrow angle. The hole in the downpipe for the merge is actuially 3" long oval.

Since Fmax claimed 40 HP gains with an atmospheric discharged WG on a 2.5 exhaust, I would estimate that the gains of doing so, on a 3" DP, are much less significant.
