Default Just showing my civic h22 turbo project.

Hey!
My project, I guess, deserves to be shown here because it certainly is inspired from HMT to a certain extent !!
It's all done now, the engine runs smooth and pulls real hard. Not a single CEL !!
However, I think I fucked up an axle already...
dyno results to come...

Basically, here's what I did:

Civic 95 hatch + 96 H22 JDM (10.4:1)

T3/T04E Borgwarner turbo with 38mm wg
Homemade manifold 1.5" i.d., 3" exhaust with CAT.
spearco IC, SSQV bov,
450ccm injectors
apexi afc, crane cams HI6-TRc2, coil J&S safeguard v2

Yeah, clean *** setup, just ditch the AFC as soon as you can.

Next, figure out how to get traction and stop breaking axles :P

Yeah, lots of people say the AFC hack blows engine because it advances the timing.
So there's no question, it has the ability to make a nice fuel curve but it apprently screws up the timing...
It's half true.
It's a fact that the AFC hack has the secondary effect of advancing the timing since the ECU sees much lower MAP readings.
But on the blaast fashioned hack, this is resolved. The crane cams TRC retard **** is hooked up in such a manner to give FULL TIME retard, which is used simply to compensate the advancing effect of the afc hack. You can even retard the timing more than normal for added safety but you shoudn'T if tuning is good.
THen, the J&S takes over the boost/retard function independently.
Any tendancy to detonate? The J&S will see it, retard the timing enough to avoid it and let you know so you can adjust your parameters with more full time or boost/ retard.

The orange civic is a customer's. I did not personally make the work. Just supplied the parts on this orange beauty.

Either way, it's a "hack". with uberdata available..for free..I'm not sure why one wouldn't do this.

you need a new radiator upper hose.
ur EGT wire is touching the WG
and with the cost of an external WG i would just run open dump to gain a little more horse, or at least extent the dump all the way down to the b-pipe before merging it into the exhaust

yea i would suggest moving that wastegate dump as well. I have been working on getting a friend's boosted h22 running right for a while and we can't figure out what it is. We have tried everything from replacing a bunch of ignition components, to running drastically different timing and the car still doesn't make good power. The fuel curve is perfect 12:1 straight across. He has the dumptube ran into the bend coming off of the turbo...in fact the tube itself is only a few inches long. He said that when he tried running open dump the car acted drastically different so i'm guessing this is his problem.
