I like the manifold man...I see it is very similiar to the one you run on your Prelude...are there any specific advantages to running an equal length turbo manifold??...is it for quick spool up or more aimed towards making better power??...whatever it does, it looks DAMN good...

yea same as me, im running a base tune which is extremly rich tho. i was just wondering if you had the software for tunning. im looking for the dealers software maybe floating around the net. 350$ just for software is kinda pricey for me.

Yeah I do have the sct cd rom but it doesn'T allow for a complete and accurate tuning like we do with crome and uberdata. To make some real good tuning, you need to pay much more than 350$ I think. I will not pay for that. I have no time to tune. I have a handfull of good tuners willing to tune my setups for some turbo favors!

Yeah, I like the yellowish colour it took with the heat. Hopefully it will stay like that.
isolating the 1&4 from the 2&3 in theory prevents the pressure wave that is supposedly traveling backwards in the manifold towards the non-firing runners, which is a cause of lag. I don't see why they would impede power in any way and yes, this feature should make them spool faster than a similarly sized, but 4-1 header. I'm just trying to find out at what extent it does. I'm still experiencing on the best tube diameters, merges designs and all that. For this one, I tried to reduce the size of the single pipe just before the turbo to a smaller one. It helps, but I think next time I'll pinch it even smaller just to see what happens. Also, we have to keep in mind that the best header for a 8 psi stocker will be different than a 20 psi all out engine. Those who pump out jig-made manifolds like cup cakes won't like it but i'm affraid it's the case.

Here's some other versions that I made.
(Again, I am 100% aware that this is nowhere near the incredible quality of the tig welded stainless manifolds that we see sometimes from some pro welders on here. I'm just the turbo guy, having fun installing a turbo once every 6 month.)

version #1 version #1 version #1 version #1 version #1

version #2 version #2

No way to flip the turbo and send the downpipe (looks over the tranny) back? Just seems to have a sidemount and have the compressor face the ambient air. Nice work, regardless, G.

Very nice. Does it really sound like a subie? Cause the sound alone would be worth 500 rpms worth of lag in my book

WOah!
i just spent one hour playing with it and Wow!!! This thing sounds awesome! at idle, it sounds normal but When you accelerate, it makes kind of a RRRRRRRolling sound. Will try to record it.
i don't understand why...i made 2 other sideblaasters on this car before but this one sounds so different.
Spool up is finally very acceptable. Feels about the same as a stage 1½ t3 60 trim. i ear it whine a lot and the 10$ bosch bov can be eared too, which is unusual.
i love this car. it's a great beater as it is. i can't wait to tune it better and up the boost but that's gonna have to wait because as most of you know, blaastperformance is moving into a new facility shortly and it will keep me busy for a little while.
