Just finished my setup and have ???'s!
Hey everyone just finished my settup. Me and my 2 friends pulled a all nighter! Well My setup is:
ihi rhb5 turbo
hf mani
bmc racing fancy adapter
2 1/2 downpipe
check valves
12:1 fmu
side mounte intercooler
charge pipes
right now its smoking like a bitch from the mani and turbo! I think its just burning some of the oil off but do yall think maybe the turbos just getting to much oil? Also the idle is kinda crapy it just keeps going up and down! Any help please. Do yall have crappy idol w/ the fmu. I adjusted the wastegate with a coupler5 and it only pushing like 2 pounds of boost im gonna raise it but its so damn hot right now so gonna do it later ! Well ill post pics later but g2g get some parts like the rest of my downpipe! Thanks for the help! Nick

What size is your oil return? Is it kinked at all? What size oil feed do you have? How old is the turbo?

the oil return is like a -10 and its like curves but it getting pretty good flow because its clear and I can see the oil going through it! Also my car dies when im driving and not getting on it! And then the battery light comes on! Has this happened to any of yall? Now im pushing 6-8 psi! Its feals so good. My idle sucks to it keeps like fluddering under 1000 at idle and not under acceleration like it wants to die. Please help anyone! Thanks for any comments. The turbo and mani arent really smoking anymore to I guess they were just burning all the oil off of them! The turbos pretty good condition! Nick

Does it idle like ---- all the time or only after you get on it? If it idles like ---- all the time you have some other problem. If not it's just a side effect of the FMU loading the injectors up.
Your battery light came on? What else did you do to the car? Maybe your battery/alternator went bad. I have had ---- like that happen. I installed a new turbo and the 02 sensor went bad at the same exact time which made me think something was wrong with the turbo. It took a while to figure out what was really going on.

yah dude it idles like ---- all the time unless im like getting on it or somthing! Im gonna try a few more things, but im so exhausted now ive been working on my car for 14 hours straight man! We pulled an all nighter and were still working on it! My 02 sensor is pretty fucked up from being tooken and putten on so many times. Could that effect the idle maybe if it was getting shitty readings? Has any one had this problem

The o2 can make it idle like ----. It can also lean the A/F ratio out so be careful.
Are you getting any cels?

yah man I actually just got a cel and it was running like complete ----! I checked all the vacumms to see maybe if I had a leake but I didnt find one! Also is it bad to like have 3 tee's coming off of the fpr? I dont know but my cars idling like ---- and I need to find out whats wrong! This is my daily driver! hofally im going to take it to a local shop and see if they can figure this out! If I can make it there! But for now has anybodys car idled like complete ---- after they installed theyre turbo with a fmu, or had any experience like this, any help would be grateful! i have a the d16z6 engine! Damn 8 psi fealt soooo good for the sec I had it! (it seems like ever scince I put the coupler on the actuator rod it started acting shitier!) Well im out! Nick

Well, the first thing you need to do is see what cel it's throwing.
The three T's shouldn't be a problem as long as they aren't leaking. MAKE SURE NONE OF THEM ARE LEAKING!

your battery light will come on when the engine stalls out because the alternator stopped moving, thats normal.
start your car in your driveway and let it idle til it dies, when it does remove those 3 tee's from the FPR and just make one to the fpr and 1 to the fmu. start the car again, does it idle ok now>? if yes you have a vac leak on those tee's.
