with the proper catch can setup you can lower the amount of oil fumes inside the motor, effectivly increaseing the octane of the fuel, which is good for detionation. Its not really necessiary but it might be somethin to think about since you allready have one.

another thing...unhook that PCV valve hose from the intake manifold....plug that hole....u will have boost going into that pipe and thru ur pcv valve and into ur crank case shoving pressure out of your valve cover breather hose that is attached to ur upper charge pipe....make a crank case breather system like the dsm guys do...out of a small folgers coffee can and spray paint it black...never...i meen never let any boost pressure get into the crank case or BOOM will happen after awhile.

i tell ya what...good thing i had an extra motor...cause i blew out my pistons rings because of this and it fucked that motor....i learned the hardway

you'll get boost in your crankcase if you have a bad pcv valve. i installed a new one in my car just incase. the pcv valve is a one way valve that will let air out of the crank case when the car is in vacuume and it won't let air in when the car is in boost. pcv valves last a long time. i replaced the one in my wifes' car 3 weeks ago and it's a 96' and the pcv valve was stil good but it just had alot of oil sludge inside, that was the original pcv valve, it was never replaced before.
