Don't forget to get the electric water pump too. My friend used this intercooler for his Turbo Miata and we used the factory A/C condensor to cool the water. It works great!

yeah i coudnt agree more with the no using a trani cooler..

my buddie had one, and he needed one like the size of his friggen rad on the front, from like a f-550 to cool the water to decent temps..

motorbike rad would work awsome!. ---- the CO2, buy O2.

if that co2 gets anywhere near your engine or something leaks, you loose shitloads of POWAH!! cya

No use the front intercooler not the one under the blower! You would still have to use you celica piece for the charge side.

o2... where do I get that from? I can get co2 from the paint ball place or last resort, walmart has them in 10oz cans.

All the little things sound like they could add up quick... $100 conquest FMIC and $50 to get the end-tanks modded...

You could also use the front mount water cooler from a SL55, E-55, or CLK-55 AMG benzs, hehe... Or the new cobra, hehe..

I think the lightning one would be the cheapest... What about maybe a syclone/tyfoon water cooler ??

Good luck, take pics !!!

if you start sucking in o2, your gunna run lean as all hell. i have no idea what your using for fuel management, but a simple fmu, or even stan alones, wont realize more oxegen is actually in the air. odds are, if you get enough o2 sucked up without more fuel dumpped, you might just start detonating. just my 2 cents though. also, if you wanna use some kinda tank to spray co2 into it, i wopuldnt go using a paintball one. those are what, like 10oz's? id go with 5lb tank at the smallest. what about just making a container around the intercooler and filling it with dry ice when your at the track? you can get dry ice at lots of places cheap. but again, make sure its not near your intake because as im sure you know, dryice is just co2 in a solid state.

Hello, i personally own a 88 celica alltrac which uses that intercooler. Most st165 owners who upgrade their turbo/up the boost tend to choose to upgrade the intercooler either to a fmic or a more bigger water core off the st185 carlos sainz edition

Please be aware that this intercooler is usually mounted on top of your engine and heat soak will occur so unless you have a hood w/ a vent, the efficiency of the intercooler will be hindered.

Personally i would only use this intercooler for a smaller turbo like a mitsu 14b up to 10psi... the intercooler core is hot as is on stock settings of our cars!

st165 has a good point too.. you may want to use some insulation on the bottom and sides of it to deflect some of the heat rising off the engine. i'm guessing though that your application won't be on top of the engine the way it's mounted on the 3S-GTE, so this won't be as much of a problem.

as for the CO2 thing, from what i understood about what you were saying sinner, you wanted to use the CO2 to cool the water tank, right? i think that's a great idea. i was considering this as well. find a junked heater core or something and cut a couple tube/fin rows off of it and weld fittings onto it adn put it in the water tank. have the CO2 just discharge out the fender or something via solenoid valve. when it discharges, it freezes the block of heater core in the water tank, effectively adding ice to the tank and dropping the temps back down. done this way, the CO2 would be nowhere near your intake..

sounds like alot of work when you could just get a dsm intercooler for 40 and forget all the extra plumbing. gotta think about what all that extra will weigh. just my 2 cents.
plus you don't wanna use a fuel pump for water, it will rust and lock up real quick.
