JDM D15b Vtec and boost.
Anyone know the compression of the D15b Vtec ? It't basically a D16z6, right ? So it should take the boost pretty well? Does it have decent sized rods ? Use the P28 ECU for this right ? Trying to decide to get a d16z6 or the D15b. I'm thinking mroe towards the D15b due to the fact that it has lower miles on it, that is if i actaully get one with the 40k miles that they claim they have.

Re:JDM D15b Vtec and boost.
D15B comp. ratio is 9.3:1 Use a P28 chipped. The rods are pencil sized like most D15's, just don't hit it to hard and it will be fine.

stay under 10psi-and it better be well tunned.

d15b's love boost, and they're cheaper and less miles than any z6 you'll find

And stock Z6 rods are pencil like too. We all know d-rods are weak, no matter what motor. Keep it under 10psi, tune it well and happy boosting.

I think the most i'll run is 7 psi on a 14b. So i should be okay. I'll get a wideband and just read up on the Uberdata forum and see what kinda tune that gets me.
