Default JB welding my endtank on my Starion FMIC, WTF??? how?

Ummm Idk who's done this before, but i think i f***ed up.

I cut those stupid brackets off the sides, and now i haev some gapping holes there. My endtanks are round, my holes are square, how the does this work?

How will i fill in those holes with JB?

Im not positive on what your talking about, but can't you just cut a little square of sheetmetal and jb weld that onto it? Won't look the best, but it should work, right?

Im not really clear on what your talking about, hope that helped though..

Oh, im going to do that for the top. SO yup that's what'll work.

But on the sides, (where the endtanks will be) I've got square holes on both sides, and my end tanks are round (tubing). How can I JB weld those on? The JB weld will seep through the cracks around it.

(AKA... Big sqaure, small circle = leakage) lol

Thanks again for the reply. Hopefully you'll understand what im talking about b/c it's hard to explain

you can make the small circle fit into the big square. just cake it on one layer at a time. it might take a few days and careful measuring. if you put too much on it wont set all the way through. anyway, let us know how it goes. fyi: jb weld stays solid until 600F.

Yeah, 45's idea would probably be the better solution. Or if you wanted to get tricky with it, file out the square into a circle and use bigger endtank inlet and outlet pipe.

I just finished mine about a week ago and it's on the car:

I took one of those hole saw bits you can buy at lowes for under 4 bucks and made the hole just below the bracket and cut the bracket off. The bit simply goes onto a power drill. I already cut the top pipes off flat with the endtanks and used the material from the holes I cut out on the sides to cover the top end tanks and jbwelded them. It actually turned out to look very good. For the sides I used 2 1/4" pipe and jbwelded those on. Make sure you jbweld it several times (because it runs) and it will make leaks. I should have taken a few pictures when I was done with it outside the car.
