I've got cold feet.... help me
i'm getting really close to installing my turbo, i'll be doing it not this weekend but next. I'm really scared. This is my daily driver and it's my first FI project. I think i've done enough research and i'm pretty confident everything is gonna be ok. I'm just worried. i don't wanna blow up my car.
i went through the same thing. Im not knowledgable with cars at all...so i didnt go through with it. the more and more i look at it...i felt i was tackling too much too quickly. I was purchasing a mig welder and planning to weld all my charge pipes, a DP, a dumptube, and an exhaust....thats a lot for someone that just got a welder a few weeks before then. Also i felt a lot of stress about the fuel management. The one thing i also felt uncomfortable with was my fuel management. I think the install isnt really a challenge for the most part. really its bolting things together...but i just suggest taking your time on the charge pipes or anything you have to custom fab. If you are unsure about about anything...this is the time to ask.
Good luck.
btw...i kinda regret not turboing my integra...if need be, put off the install for a few weeks and tie up any loose ends and find out any info you might be shaky on...
Good luck.

I felt the same way, I have been putting my turbo in my CRX for about 3 weeks (thank god for another car)taking everything slow, double and triple checking and the custom fab. gets to you sometimes but I think of it this way "Next time I turn on my car it will have boost" and that gets me going. Check that you have everything, make a list on what you need, so when the weekend come along it wont be such a pain in the ***! Good Luck

if you have cold feet, its because you arent confident,
which is understandable, its your first FI project
BUT, if I were you, i'd make sure I had this ---- straight mastered before starting
what kind of fuel management are you going to use
hehe thats so true, not to sound discouraging but there will be a lot of minor things that will pop up along the way. Its all worth it tho IMO. I bought a stick welder and practiced 10 min before making my dp on my first turbo kit. just be confident you can do it! good luck man.

oh man, let me tell you! i just started on my crx si turbo two days ago and so far its going ok! the only main trouble i had was yesterday. i had to get the charge pipes to fit flush with the turbo and then bend it around to fit my intercooler. i already had the piping but i had to measure, then cut, then measure and fit...then cut the other pipe that was gonna connect to that one... finally i got! thats probably the biggest obsticle i had so far but its taken care of now. i should be firing it up this weekend, i'll let you know how its goes!
