I have a answer for your question the 3LDZ starts to spool at 3000 rpm and full boost at 3400 rpm on my 2.0L and when you let off the gas it makes a wicked phssss phssss sound and it not the BOV i disconnected it and it still made the sound when i do my video you will hear it.

The sound your hearing is compressor surge. You may need to weaken the spring behind you bov, or make sure you have a good vacuum going to it. Surge is bad and can ruin the bearings on your turbo. Good looking build, clean work.

Hey man, I see where you had the vacuum signal for your wastegate ran from the compressor cover on your turbo. I've always heard that you got a better signal if you tapped into you intake manifold. That may not have ANYTHING to do with what you are experiencing(does sound like compressor surge), but it might be worth looking into. Your car looks great by the way. Truly unique, and I'm sure it will fly.
