Re: its about damn time!!
I ordered some mild steel piping form some http://store.racing-solutions.org/index.html but its not a 2" diameter as it should be. Its close, but no cigar. When I first saw it, i knew it looked kinda small, then I saw that it can easily fit inside my ABS pipe (my ABS pipe is 2”). so I'm hoping the guy will let me exchange it for the 2.5" size. I have no problem with you switching to a larger size, but I do not appreciate the sentiment that I would pull a fast one on my customers. http://www.titanbending.com/2in/2in-1.JPG http://www.titanbending.com/2in/2in-2.JPG |

Re: its about damn time!!
Just to clear the air...Racing-Solutions measures their piping from the outside, they did not try to “pull a fast one”
I learned to measure it from the inside (as I thought everyone did it this way…maybe its just plumbers who did it this way ??? )...so this is where our miscommunication comes from. I don’t know what the standard is for automobiles or manufacturing, but as I said, this company measures their piping from the OUTER diameter, and I based my measurments on inner diameter. That is all, the problem is resolved. |
Re: its about damn time!!
pipe as in plumbing pipe abs/pvc ect is measured from the inner diamter
tubing as in exhaust tubing is measured from the outer diameter |
