Default internally stock boosted b16a questions

My b16 swap will be boosted here pretty soon. I have a few questions though. It's going to be completely stock internally. I plan to run about 7lbs daily. The ONLY thing Im doing to the motor to prepare for it is use ARP head studs and change the headgasket. I have ITR cams right now with the stock b16 valvetrain. Will it be ok to boost it at 7lbs w/ out upgrading the valvetrain as long as I don't take it past...say...7200-7500? Think it should hold up for a good while. It runs pretty strong right now. No problems at all. Anything else I need to do in order to boost without any problems on a stock bottom end? And last, what do stock b16's usually put down running at about 7lbs? Thanks...

what fuel injectors are you running and what are you using for management? just make sure you are tuned properly.

7psi will be fine on stock internals. i'm running only 8psi on my completely stock engine and i drive the car hard on a regular basis and don't have any problems other than crappy mileage.

i figure i'm making around 270-280whp.

im pretty sure a stock b16 can withstand 7 psi on stock internals, WITH the proper fuel management. 450's, crome basemap, 12psi (w/ management)

I will be using 450's and Crome for tuning.

then you should be good, as long as you actually get a real tune and not run on a basemap you downloaded and burned.

haven't been to the strip as of yet, but i'm guessing i'm going to be around 13.5-13.6 on street tires. it is a b17a1

i have a blitz powermeter in the car to give me a pretty good estimate for power.

a nicely sized turbo gives great results on the b16s 10+:1 compression
