well what do you expect me to do type in the search box "how to connect IC pipes, to an IC" im just asking a quick what you would do type question, im not going to get an answer form any search box. thanks to you guys i got nothing out of this enitre thread, you hmt guys are really starting to get to me, i have only found a few of you to actually be cool, and on top of that actually give legit info. this site it about fighting and bitching people out, not about how to DIY a turbo kit. a quick call to a guy i know that i actually trust for good info helped me out.

what you would type in the search box is "intercooler piping" something will show up and give you the correct information. as a matter of fact a few months ago someone posted up a thing about using skateboard griptape at the end of the piping to create friction to hold it on there

Melts, that adhesive is just one step above masking tape quite honestly.

You're better off sanding the metal/ flaring the pipe. A pipe flare from Harbor Freight is dirt cheap so there is no excuse, you can rent it if need be.

well if it helps, i searched "intercooler piping" . i got 99% WTB threads, and a few random others.. none that did any good. im just going to buy 2.5 inch pipe from an exhaust place, and get that all put together. i guess from the charge pipe to the IC ill just buy the silicone or whatever couplers and get the right clamps, and hope it holds.

Have you ever stuck PVC pipe together?

It's the same thing. In fact PVC pipe makes excellent CHARGE pipe.

You have a worm gear over a rubber thing that holds two cylinders together, routing the air where you want it to go.

What car is this that will be running 20psi?

Well it's aluminum piping, so I don't know what you think is going to rust.

Not to mention, I have strong doubts that you know how to weld aluminum, especially piping that thin and of questionable quality.

Go with mild and get it powdercoated after, cheaper than stainless and it'll help ambient temps.

I have no idea why I'm being nice to you either.
