Default intercooler needed??

well i am boosting my b18c1 now... using a .48 ar t3 exhaust .70 ar t4 intake t3/t4 (naturally) and am boosting 12 psi of boost. using 2.5 in intake charge lines all with a bmc racing log manifold. 450 cc injectors and uberdata tuned by bmc racing p28 ecu. was just wondering if i really need a intercooler for 12 psi i get 0 detonation with 1 degree retard per pound of boost on the ecu program, never run lean, no problems at all but just wondering how high of boost i can go b4 i have to have a intercooler only reason i dont have 1 right now is i am in debt 400 dollars and wont be out of debt for 2 weeks... ohh by the way this turbo has to be the best turbo match for the engine imaginable... i gets full boost at 4000 rpm and keeps full boost all the way till redline and higher well get back soon plz

Dude here is what you need to do. Cut down the boost until you can afford an intercooler. Once you get one, you can boost it back up mang. Problem solved. Your intake temps are going to be extremely hot and it's choking the motor. When this happens, you may be boosting 12 pounds but it will only feel like 8 or 9. You need cold dense air to fully take advantage of the turbocharger system. This is where the intercooler comes into effect. Bottom line, get an intercooler!

I think my 2mm head gasket helps me keeping temps low

You don't count. You're just a visionary that's constantly going against the grain. :P Any normal human being is going to run into problems without an intercooler.
