Default installing Turbo Timer

ok so i ended up deciding not to sell it. but anyways Blitz obvioulsy doesnt make the harness for a civic so im now stuck with the option of hardwiring (which i have no problem with). i just need to know what wires go to what. these are the wires:

2 black wires (definetely ground)
1 red (which im guessin is batery source because thats what red usually is)
1 blue
1 green
1 purple (with a clip on the end of it)

any help would be great. and even better would be if i knew what wire hooked up to what source, and what color wire i should look for in my car that would have that source.

thanx

matt

ok so i found some info, but still need a little help. this is what i found out:

2 black (ARE ground)
1 red (IS 12 volt source)
1 green = ignition wire
1 blue = secondary ignition wire or accessory wire

and the vacuum tube is to be hooked up to a vacuum and pressure source behind the throttle body.

so if i take off the panel around my steering wheel, does anyone know what wires are actual ignition wires? for those who have a turbo timer, what wires did you hook up yours too?

and as far as the vacuum hose is concerned, where should i plug that in for a vacuum and pressure source? i already used the Fuel Pressure Regulator for my Greddy Profec B spec II, so is there another source behind the throttle body that i can get vacuum and pressure from?

thanx for the advice too, but i dont have $40, id rather spend 10 minutes and just splice the wires in. and for the blitz turbo timer, i dont even think they have the harness for the civic. cuz when i was searchin for info on msn i found this:

http://www.alamomotorsports.com/prod...dualtimer.html

but i dont know if they would have one on ebay

^ ok so i searched some more this time under "ignition wire" and tons of threads came up, but none that answered my question. i know i could just run the wire all the way to the distributor to an ignition wire, but under my steering colomn, what color wires are ignition wires? any help would be appreciated. im just tired and want to go to bed. thanx

^ thanks man, i really appreciate it, but thats still the plug and play. i really have NO money. so i just need to splice these wires in. i just dont know which wires under the panel are ignition wires. thats all i need to know is 2 different ignition wires under that panel, and ill be straight.

and where i should hook up the vacuum and pressure source behind the throttle body (because i already used the pressure regulator for the boost control).

ok so i found out where everything goes.

but one more question. the red, blue, and green wire arent log enough to reach the ingnition. sooo, i can just splice some wire into the red, green, and blue wires and sauter those on the ignition. but my question is this. i dont have a very big selection of wire. (actually only speaker wire) so will it matter that the speaker wire is thinner? will the turbo timer still work if i run a thinner guage wire?

Not Ignition from your dizzy man!!!!! LOL

A 12v source that is hot when the ignition is on!!!! Really think you should be doing this?

Follow the pic above. That was not a plug and play setup. Just remove your stearing column cover and soilder the wire to the lock and key cylinder. Use a test light to determine what wire to soilder to.

2 black wires (definetely ground)--- got that right!
1 red---Constant 12v signal(whether key is on or off) use a t test light, don't turn key, Which ever wire make you test light come on, BINGO
1 blue--- ACC, A wire on you lock and key cylinder that is hot when the key is on the 1st position(test light again) at this point only you radio should work
1 green--- 12vIGN Hot when the key is one th 2nd postion, Like the car is running( Test light again)(NOT YOUR DISTRIBUTOR)
1 purple--- Speed Sensor. Not neccessary. I don't use it on mine, You might have to ground this wire too, Or hook it up to the speed sensor wire on the ECU

Do you not have a orange wire? Normally this is for you parking brake. If not, try hooking the purple wire to the parking brake maybe. This way the timer only works with the brake up.
