youll see. just go to sears and get a good set of cragtsman. i bought a shitty set once and the fucker broke off and i had to use an extracer to get it out.

A tap is a threaded bit that lets you make threaded holes in stuff. BSPT is the sizing convention that import cars use for hydraulic lines. NPT is basically the standard equivalent of that. You were probably trying to fit an NPT threaded piece into a BSPT hole, thus ------- it up beyond all recognition. Should have gotten a tunertoys fitting :(

A BSPT tap MAY work, but there may not be enough material left in the block-hole to create the thread depth you need, thus the suggestion for getting the next size up. Id suggest finding an 1/8 NPT tap kit (get a good quality one) and see if that'll work or not. If it doesnt work, at least you tried the cheapest/easiest method. Use lots of teflon tape too to fill in the gaps.

Great thanks for the help. If that does not work Im just gonna drill the hole and aluminum weld the fitting.

make sure to be careful with that, might want to take a piece of a rag or something soak it in oil and stick it in there b4 u tap it. aluminum shavings in the block = not good. for real. :P

ya, and put some grease on the tap, definitly, the bits of metal will stick to the grease,

just get a new block and start over. your about to ---- ---- up and really put yourself in a bind. :-\

if he takes his time and hassome one there with him that knows what there doing, he should be ok. but if he trys to do it in like 5mins to rush it, he will be fucked. go at a calm an thurough pace

Well I went to sears got the tap and everything turned out great. I only taped ¼ of the way because just the begining was fucked. So this way I could get the dahm T passed the begining and let it grab the rest of the way. Worked great!!!!!!!!! I slapped a ---- load of teflon and I should be ok cause ½ is the new tap and the rest is the stock factory tap. Ohh man I feel so much better now. Thanks for all the help I know I was kind of a pain in the ass but you guys stuck with me and helped a brother out. And special thanks to Stealthmode for helping me and stuff too. thanks guys!
