Default individual throttle boddies

i was wondering if it was possible to put quad throttle bodies on a 1998 cavalier 2.2 whithout to meny headaches or money
the motor just seems not to have any power and i got a cold air intake hedder and full exhaust if it can be done reasonably howmuch true ( wheel ) hp and ft-lbs and will i have to sacrifice driveability?

um i dont have any useful info on the individual tb's but why dont you just go turbo instead of even worrying about that? it wont be very noticeable except for noisey and perhaps a little better throttle response

Scrap it. Go with a Twincam, and turbo that.

Quite honestly, if you are looking for something that you can make a decent amout of dependable power with...I would go find yourself a honda. But, then again I am pretty biased on the subject. You could probly turbo that thing and make it pretty quick without a lot of money into it, but it wouldn't last very long.

BTW, to answer your question, I agree with the 2teg guy, it wouln't be worth it. But it would be a one of a kind thing as far as I know...BTW, isn't this the FORCED INDUCTION section?

yeah but individual tb's r kinda forced induction(where else would i put it?)
and as for a turbo i agree i could get more power easier but i realy like the cav because all of them are riced out so if i build a fast cav it would be the sleeper of the century u kno?
plus i'm still making payments

that would be a lot of work and tuning for a car thats head flows like ---- already so you wont gain much for hp, just loose drivability.

um no theyre not.....you can build a turbo cav and not have it riced out, and if you are saying you're still making payments, are you implying you still have a warranty on the vehicle?? itb's would void that for sure

first off im not calling turbos rice what i'm saying that all the cavs i'v seen their stereos have more hp than their motors and when i bought it it only came with a 30day warranty and i bought it 6months ago i would go for a turbo but i wanna do somthing i havent seen done ( putting itb's on a cavalier ) and as for the head flowing like ---- i just ordered an ecotec 2.0l head ( thats the one on the cobalt ss supercharged ) i dynoed it a week ago and it put down a massave 145 whp and 151ft-lbs

i and several others answered it....if you want to be different that would work, but dont expect huge numbers, and do expect headaches and money spending

also you could check out the first thread in hybrid/tech for more info

still ----, not a high reving n/a designed head that would work well with itb's. For the same amount of work just go turbo
