Is it normal to take so long to develope 10 psi at 5800 rpm in a 99'civic si b16a w/.63 trim nissan 300zx t3? works great and all but I wish I was boosting 10psi at 4-4500rpm instead.

also my Auto Meter boost gauge sounds like it's leaking a little bit of air as boost increases, the tuner told me this is normal cause the gauge purges excess air into the atmosphere and factory gauges purge it back into the intake system. Is this true?

I think i have the same trim turbo as yours. Mine came out of a Nissan too. Well I would think it would be normal to hit 10 psi at that rpm with your motor. Mine is on a h22 and I hit 6 psi at 3200 rpm and pull all the way till redline. How does it pull once it hits full boost? I'm sure it wont matter since its only first gear when your racing. And once your into the next gear your be above 4800 rpm.
