Default ihi-rhb5vs t3 vs 14b

heres my dilemma. i have a 91 crxsi and im building a turbo kit. i recently got the ihi turbo off an 89' mx-6 and its in very good condition for $45. now i jsut found out my local junkyard has a t3 for $75. my plan is to run 8-10 lbs max on my dohc zc. for the tuning aspect, my friedn will probally chip my pm6 and that will take care of that. so heres my question, whats gonna be the better turbo chocie for an -10 lb setup. the smaller ihi, or the bigger t3. half my friends are saying t3 and teh otehr half or saying the ihi. so im coming to u guys to get some opinions. my goal for the rex is to hit low 14s- high 13s. so with ur experiance what turbo do ut hink will get me there for the easier and cheaper price? also throw in the 14b option cause my friedn has one of those cheap too. so my options are stick with the mx-6 turbo, or get the 14b or t3,thanks

If it was me I'd use the T3. Makes more power and will hold till redline. The ihi will spool quick but will lose it's breathe at higher rpm.

If you don't know the trim numbers on the turbos, you can't tell ANYTHING by just saying "IHI" or "T3"!!! Read more about how turbos work!

well most of us already know that the T3 is wayyy bigger than the puny IHI turbo!!! 14b is good too but i'd run the T3, no doubt about it!!!!! The T3 will pull good all through your rpm range and you wont be dissappointed. that little IHI will spool up quickly but give out up top. trust me......go with the T3!!! its easier to find fittings and flanges for and can be upgraded easily. please do not throw on the IHI....i hate those little turbos!!!!!

14B's are excellent for d series. they are efficient.
