I'm wondering if i remove the wastegate how much psi a RHB5 from a mazda mx-6 can spool?

 

then if i put a maual boost controler... what would be the hight boost of this small turbo?

 

they are suppose to be good for up to like 15psi, but ---- it.

get something bigger if you want more power.

Its my fisrt HMT kit so first i will use stock wastegate 7.5~8.5 psi then i will increase boost with a boost controller... at this point, if i need more power i will buy a t3/t4

But for the moment i just want to know how much psi thi turbo will hold. So it seems to be holding 10psi...its a begining! :P

what kind of hp are you putting down with that turbo?

and what motor/setup?

 

its not installed yet but setup will be finish within a month or two...
i would say i want to put at least 165whp with stock wastegate (8 psi running vafc) maybe more when my ecu will be chipped on uberdata

 

The stock wastegate will get you 7psi with good exhaust, with an MBC I wouldn't try to hold 10psi since the spikes you will get can get up to 12 or so pounds. I don't know about you but on a stock engine (as I am assuming) I wouldn't wanna take that chance. Use your MBC to hold at 8 with spikes around 10.

 

i thought the mbc was supposed to help stop boost spikes?
