Default idle problem

alright well i have a leak in my manifold to turbo its little but my turbo still spools up .. and my oil line has a small leak too .. i am not running a down pipe.. my car doesnt idle worth ---- .. i can rev it up but we dont see any boost on my guage and my bov isnt going off.my cars vaccuum stays at about 2 till 4000 rpm.. its a t3 chrysler turbo and my pre turbo is just mesh.my plugs are stock what should i gap my spark plugs at they are step 1 colder?this is on a 99 civic ex ... so to sum it up
1.no boost .. could this be the mesh i feel it sucking threw the mesh or could it be the small leak in the exaust i still hear the turbo spool up its pretty loud.
2.how do i keep my car idling ? retard ignition gap spark plugs and how do i retard my timing if so im running fmu
i dont think i have any leaks in my charge piping. any help would be appreciated im going to get my manifold welded up in the spot its leaking and jb weld my oil lines instead of using thread sealent...im pretty sure my internal wastegate is closed to so idk...

It's hard to boost without any load, you need to take it for a spin. As for poor idle I've seen it happen when it's running super rich.

First I'd probably ditch the fmu and get some real management.

are you sure you hooked the fmu up right? an fmu will not affect your idle because it only raises the fuel pressure when the car see's boost, other than that it should run like a stock car when in vacuum. as far as the turbo not building boost, no, it won't build boost at idle just revving, you have to drive the car and put a load on the engine. if the leak between the turbo/manifold is big enough, it will definitely affect spool time and how much boost you can build, but it would have to be a pretty huge leak in order for the turbo not to build any boost at all. fix your oil lines, make sure your fmu is hooked up right, and take the car for a spin, you'll see boost as far as your plugs and retarding the distributor, you may as well put the plugs in if you have them, and you can retard the distributor a couple degree's, but don't retard it all the way or the car will run like complete ***.

i just came back from driving and my turbo overheated i have the downpipe hooked up to my exaust. and there is a really small leak in my downpipe but not that bad i fixed the one inbetween the manifold and turbo... my oil line i think has a small leak but im pretty sure my turbo is getting enough oil..i drove it around the block under 2g's then i went down this street and floored it. it was slower then without my car having a turbo.. i noticed smoking coming out my engine bay then i noticed alot of heat was coming off the turbo and my bov wasnt going off even when i was high in rpms 4000+rpms.. i pulled my sparkplugs and they had like a whitish tip to them earlier they were black cuz i had no check valves... please help me out thank u

Check the vac line going to the bov, smoke from the motor is just the grease from your dirty hands burning off stuff like the mani, as for the turbo it being hot is normal. :P
