IAT
whats the purpose of a IAT sensor. rite now my iat is just like hanging and its not connected to the charge pipe. going to run a air-to-water IC soon so i wanted to know if i should get that iat stuck into the charge pipe.

Re: IAT
its the sensor that tells hte computer the temperature of ur intake. definatly hook it up

Re: IAT
aite so the colder the iat the more the fuel?
|
Re: IAT
IAT also effects ignition timing.
If you are going to substitute free air IAT for actual tuning, your ---- will not run for very long. |
Re: IAT
yeah seriously that's a high authority sensor on a speed-density calculated car. Running without it in a good location is not a good idea.

just got this charge pipe done. got like a resovior made for ice water. imma just pour in the ice water b4 a drag and let it out wen im done. just need to get the iat installed now. the second pic gives a lil description of what the holes are for. imma b pouring in the water untill i get my air to water intercooler done along with a tank and pumps. then ill just connect this to the water line that would b going to the ic.

Re: IAT
You're trying to pour water through a muffler installed on the wrong end of your engine? That's nice.
|
Re: IAT
now that i look at it. it does look like a muffler. let me explain it. this was 2.5" charge pipe and then i just got like a 4.5" pipe welded on it and got the bigger section all sealed up. now ill just add the water in tat section (which i call a reservoir) to cool down the charge temp even more.
